Born in Baghdad, on the banks of the Tigris River, in the land of the Fertile Crescent, where civilization first emerged, Victoria Harrod developed a passion for writing soon after retiring from teaching mathematics at the high school and junior college levels in Tucson, where she lives. When she isn’t writing, she enjoys board games, tennis, and walks in the desert. She and her husband, David, have two grown children, Andrew Harrod and Christine Moran, who gave birth to her first child in December 2020.
